I’m definitely going to try this. I made SK leek and white bean galette a few weeks ago with sour cream pastry and it was great. It should work for this too.

Zwiebelkuchen! (Onion tart or cake) Yum! I have made this a few times. Without the leeks but a little garlic and also caraway seeds. I recall herbs but uncertain which. I asked when I was in Germany the first time if the restaurant had it, and they told me it was only made at home.

Zwiebelkuchen has a yeasted dough base, making it breadier than this tart. And yes, it's true, it's something you usually just make at home!
