I hope you don’t mind but I shared your post on my Facebook page. I live in Australia and your words touched me. We are so far away yet so near via social media yet there is nothing we can do except donate …. which we are. However I felt comforted that the Ukrainian refugees are in such kind comforting capable hands. Thank you. Lindsey Back. Brisbane.

PS. I’m also the mother of 2 boys…. now nearly 40 years old. You do survive and you do love them as much at 40 as you do at 5 despite all the angst.

Thank you, Luisa, for your raw and honest words and this update on the war as seen through your eyes in Berlin. We in the US feel helpless and many of us have Ukrainian ancestry or know the tragedy of war and resettlement. I will share a link to your piece on my newsletter and hopefully your German aid group helping Ukrainians in Moldova will get some contributions. ❤️

I just shared this as well. Thank you, Luisa. You seem to give voice to many of our stinging thoughts about why this one maniac has turned the northern hemisphere upside down. Bruno’s words are heartbreaking in their honesty, bravery and futility. Hold your family close and thank you for your action.
